…and has been for about three months now, but since I took such a long break from blogging and am just now getting back into it, I have to go back into the photo archives and update you all.  Her choice for party theme?  Strawberry Shortcake, of course!  It was a very strawberry day!

  1. Awesome cake, as usual you wilton expert you! That photo of Mikaela sticking out her tongue in delight is adorable. Did she eat half the cake all by herself?

I’m so pumped that strawberry shortcake is back in fashion! I was a huge s.s. fan when I was Mikaela’s age and collected all the little dolls with their pungent pets. Fun times! I suppose the dolls are a bit more updated now, eh?

  2. Al, are you telling me Chloe has not yet hit the Strawberry Shortcake craze-phase?! You better go out and buy the adorable Strawb-a-ba-ba-a-berry (after you’ve seen the new cartoons it’s hard not to do that)Shortcake toys just in case by the time she’s old enough they’re out of circulation! I too was a big Strawberry Shortcake fan, but the toys they have out now are incredible — so cute I find myself suggesting to the girls that we play a little Strawberry Shortcake together!

  4. Hey, Melisa! Let me know when Aly needs Strawberry SHortcake and I’ll send it to you! :) Maia had the Care Bear one (I think I did Funshine because the sunshine was easiest and quickest) for her last birthday. I actually just found out you have a blog when I was looking around at Sherri and Amy’s. Can I add you to my blogroll? And do Treas or Truth have a blog? Thanks for posting pictures of Truth’s new Treasure. Cute! Your girls are beautiful, Melisa! I enjoyed your pictures and reading about life back ‘home’. Made me feel a little closer. :)

  7. Cute! Happy Birthday Mikaela!! 6? – wow, where has the time gone? Pretty soon you’ll be 16, and I’ll be saying the same thing! Your mom did such a good job on the cake – she’s so creative and artsy like that. That’s one of her many specialties. She’s a keeper, isn’t she?!

Sarah, okay now I’ll talk to you! I’m very impressed that you’re keeping up with doing cakes for them. I did the first year and thought, “I’m going to make this a tradition.” Nobody was surprised when subsequent birthdays were store bought cakes! Are those cake pans readily available over there in Poland? Or are you a super-good mom and plan enough ahead to have them shipped to you? I know you’re a super-good mom for many other reasons! I wish we could share our mommy-moments and have our kids play together!
