No one would ever accuse me of cleaning my house too well. Unfortunately, my girls have followed in the footsteps of my lighthearted approach to housecleaning. UNTIL NOW. I’m tired of cleaning up after everybody and I’m tired of hearing “But MOOOOOM, I can’t clean that up — it’s too messy!!” So we’ve begun cleaning lessons (a good exercise for me as well), and we’re starting with vacuuming (which is the funnest chore there is, according to the girls, and hey, why not start with something they like?) The house has never been so dust-free.

I’ve really enjoyed all the pictures lately, Sarah! It’s good to have you back. We miss you when you take your extended vacations from blogging.
Have fun with those cleaning lessons. Before you know it, you’ll have worked yourself out of a job. That’s my goal.

Great idea, Sarai! If only Chloe were old enough to do some real cleaning. She enjoys dusting for about 2.6 minutes and then moves on to something else. Someday!

Looks like you’re well on your way to being the ‘Cinderella Step-Mother’ that my sister is!!
Just kidding.
My kids get the priviledge of learning housework too. Sometimes I wonder if it’s actually helpful, but it is fun to watch them try.

Remember when some sweet girls got so fed up with the clutter in our dorm room that they came down and cleaned it themselves?? Ha! Ha! Boy, did they show us
) Ha! Ha! Too bad they don’t live near us now!

Hey, maybe when you guys are finished, you can give me some of your cleaning lessons? I don’t know how Alia learned to be so neat and clean. Somehow you and I missed out!
The girls are so cute cleaning in their pj’s.

I just LOVE the girl’s socks!!! They are just adorable! Maybe the Lord will bless us with a girl one day so that I can dress her up too!
I can remember when my Mom started teaching me how to clean. She always made me dust because she didn’t like doing it, well, I absolutely HATE to dust now. I wait as long as possible before I have to do it. I’m not sure if it’s because she made me do it so much, or just because she hated doing it also. All the other chores I really don’t mind as much. Isn’t that silly. And dusting is so easy too. Oh well I guess! Thanks for more pictures!

Well, Ben, it looks like there is some hope that your daughters won’t fall prey to the same viral feminism that has infected the other Johnson women.
